We highly recommend booking a hotel very soon as there is a festival the same weekend as our wedding. We have secured a room block at Chumash Resort for May 1st-May 3rd. Chumash is a casino that has several restaurants, a wonderful spa and brand new renovated rooms. It also has a separate entrance to the hotel which is smoke free. This is where shuttles will pick up & drop off on wedding day. To make a reservation you must call 1-800-248-6274 and let them know you are calling for the Swim/Berglund wedding. The pricing:
Thursday night (May 1): $159.00
Friday (May 2): $329.00
If you would like to stay prior to or after the blocked dates just let them know and they can accommodate that. They recommend booking rooms before March as they quickly fill up. Below are links to 2 other options along with the link to see Chumash Casino.

For the wedding, we are providing transportation for our guests to and from the reception. Buses will pick guests up at Chumash Resort at 3:00. If you are staying at another location please be at Chumash no later than 3:00 to get onto the bus. If you have any questions please reach out to Kenzy.

For welcome party, we will have valet for your car as soon as you arrive to Piocho. Please know that Santa Ynez is a small town and Lyfts and Ubers can be difficult. If you plan on driving please have a designated driver and if you would like a car service text Kenzy or Brant for details on that.

Santa Ynez has an abundance of activities, from some of the best wine tastings California has to offer to horseback riding there is something for all!

This was the first winery we went to and absolutely fell in love with their wine and the beautiful grounds which overlooks the wedding venue. Their 2016 Estate selection is our favorite red.

SOME THINGS TO KNOW

HOW DO I GET TO THE WEDDING?

For the wedding, we are providing transportation for our guests. Buses will pick guests up at Chumash casino at 3:00 sharp. If you are not staying at Chumash please arrive no later than 3:00 to get on the shuttles. For the welcome party we will have valet for your car once you get to Piocho. Please know Santa Ynez is a small town and not many Lyfts & Ubers are available. You can find more on the accommodations tab.

CAN I BRING A PLUS 1?

We are so honored to spend our wedding day with our closest family & friends. We ask that only those that are named on the invitations attend and rsvp. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to Makenzy. Thank you for your understanding.

CAN I BRING MY KIDS?

As much as we love the little ones (okay well Makenzy does) this is an adult only event. For the safety of everyone we ask that your sweet little ones do not attend. This is an excuse for you to have a parent's weekend!

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

We would love to have our friends and family get dressed up for our special day. Dress code is formal/ black tie optional. Ladies think floor length or tea length formal dresses. Gentlemen, get out your suit & tie. The venue is outside so we do suggest bringing a light jacket and shoes that are grass/ gravel friendly.

CAN I WEAR WHITE?

Please refrain from wearing white, any shade of color that might appear white in photos or any dress that has white in it.

CAN I TAKE PICTURES?

We will be having an "unplugged" ceremony. We have hired the absolute best photographer and videographer to help capture our big day & we promise we will share everything as soon as they are delivered. The greatest gift you can give us is being fully present during our ceremony and putting all phones on DND and put away. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you'd like!

WILL THERE BE AN OPEN BAR?

Whats a wedding without champs and old fashions? Drinks are on us, but the hangover is on you. We will have a full bar during reception & soft bar for ceremony and cocktail hour. Please be responsible and respectful when drinking.
